Avatar 2 All Set to start its Production Next Week

Few days ago the film commission of New Zealand stated that the pause production of films would be able to resume their work soon. After that producer of the first sequel of Avatar Jon Landau has confirmed that the Avatar 2 production will start next week in New Zealand. When the coronavirus pandemic hit globally the Avatar 2 was in production but the production was shut when New Zealand announced the lockdown in the whole country.

In 2009, Director James Cameron’s first Avatar broke all Box office records with its $2.79 Billion business, after that recently this record was broken by the blockbuster movie Avengers: Endgame. After the hit of Avatar, over the past few years Cameron was working on the technology which is required to produce the four sequels of Avatar.

On Instagram Landau posted a picture of two boats that will be used in the production, also he confirms that the production of Avatar 2 will resume from next week in New Zealand. See the post below:

Now a number of countries like UK and New Zealand are lifting restrictions on movie productions with safety precautions to restart the sets of movies. Due to the lengthy shutdown of film production, everyone was speculating on the movie release date but recently Cameron said that the film will meet its decided release date. During this lockdown the filmmakers were working on the virtual effects of the film which is the part of a reason that the film will be able to meet its release date as said by the director.

The pervious cast is returning in the first sequel of Avatar. Including Sigourney Weaver as Dr. Grace Augustine, Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, Stephen Lang as Miles Quaritch and Zoe Saldana as Neytiri. Also number of new cast members joining the original cast like: Cliff Curtis and Kate Winslet. And you can see them in the set photo that Landau teases.

After the 11 years anticipation of the first sequel is very high, as the Avatar broke new grounds with its unique digital technology that were used in the making of the film, many are expecting the Avatar 2 will be the same and fans are exciting to see what’s Cameron is coming up with Avatar first sequel. Avatar 2 is planned to release on Dec 17, 2021.
