Disney is playing save and change its all summer 2020 release dates. From Indiana Jones to Marvel, Due to coronavirus pandemic, Disney took this step to change its many movie release dates. The coronavirus pandemic gives a huge impact on Hollywood, some movies production is stopped, some movie that was released in summer pushed back till December or till next year, as in entire world local governments lockdown the cities and implement social distancing and compulsory quarantines they also shut down parks, malls, and theaters. Movie theaters in most countries closed their doors and it is not clear yet when the pandemic is over and when quarantined life comes back to normal.
One of the major release delay due to COVID-19 pandemic was No Time to Die, Movie was released in April but now pushed back till November. Coronavirus is still spreading rapidly in many other countries and more movies change their release dates. Start this week sony announces the delay of all their summer release to 2021.
Disney changes its entire summer 2020 calendar. Last month Black Widow was delayed and now it will release on November 9th. Numerous upcoming Marvel movies change their release dates, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness now premiere on November 5, 2021, Thor: Love and Thunder on February 18th, 2022, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on May 7, 2021, and The Eternals will on February 12, 2021.
Beside all these release delays, Some Disney movies are not affected. Black Panther 2 and Captain Marvel 2 still have original release dates of May 6, 2022, and July 8, 2022. West Side Story and The Last Duel are also not changing their December release dates. But in this time of COVID-19 which is continuing spreading worldwide, it is difficult to predict the release of movies.
