Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Talks About Maintaining Mental Health During Pandemic

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ talks about how you can deal with depression during the tensed situation of COVID-19 while chatting with California Governor, Gavin Newsom.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson says that we all are dealing with global anguish and we all can sense the heaviness in the air. The 47 years old WWE wrestler and Hollywood actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ speaks from his experience as he has been through depression before.

He stresses on the fact that self-distancing can cause changes in lives as we see deaths around as and moreover unemployment rate is also increasing which is very fearful. No matter how one can be optimistic the heaviness can be felt by everyone especially in these critical days. The fear of unknown exists between us and that is causing depression.

Before the lockdown phase, when we used to feel down or depressed we would go out and hang with a friend but now due to self-distancing we are confined to our homes only.

Moreover, The Rock said that it’s about being 50/50. There are days when he feels hopeful and optimistic about the current scenario and then there is an opposite side and he wobbles that what will happen in the coming days.

Newsom loved the way Dwayne spoke publicly about his therapy sessions because entertainers aren’t usually that honest and open. According to The Rock this pandemic is causing depression, anxiety and insomnia.

The Rock urges all of fans to have faith which doesn’t mean religious type of faith but faith that would make you believe that everything is going to be OKAY. Focus on all those things that are in your hands and you can control because you all are not alone in this and we all are experiencing this together.
