When Disney fire the director from the project The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 due to this controversy the project delayed, But Disney hired him again, during this period James Gunn already made a commitment with DC and Warner Bros. to write down and direct The Suicide Squad, Now it’s reported that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 got a tentative date to start out its production, and James Gunn could start its production before The Suicide Squad hit the Theaters.
Luckily the filming of The Suicide Squad was finished before the coronavirus pandemic began. Due to Global health concern many movie productions stopped and upcoming movies theatrical release delayed, during the lockdown James Gunn quite active on social media, he continuously updating his fans about the upcoming projects, he also took a Q&As section in which fans got to know that James Gunn and his team are working on the editing of The Suicide Squad, but due to coronavirus shutdown, the film promotion is being delayed. The director knows well when the Suicide Squad work will be done as the threequel got a tentative date for its production.
According to the updated list of FTIA, Guardian of the Galaxy start its production on Feb 1st, 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia, the date is six months before as The Suicide Squad is ready to release in theaters on August 6th, 2021.
