Right now Gunn is not disclosing details of Suicide Squad but he did announce the cast of the sequel.
Everyone was confused about The sequel is not directly connected with the previous Ayer’s film. Well, previously Ayer clear that The sequel is not in the same continuity. The character of the previous Suicide Squad will be returning in Gunn’s sequel, this includes Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) and Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman).
