In 2017 Universal and Dreamworks announced the production of The Croods: A New Age is resumed. First, the sequel is planned to release in the Fall of 2020 then Universal shift the film release date to December 23, when changes happened in their theatrical release.
Universal previously announced that the film will release a month earlier, and its premiere is scheduled on November 25.
