Josh Hutcherson says he would love to be a part of the famous The Hunger Games prequel. The first movie of The Hunger Games saga was released in 2012 and took the world by storm. The Hunger Games was first published as a novel in 2008 by Suzanne Collins.
The book of The Hunger Games prequel was released earlier this year in May 2020. The live-adaptation of the movie is also awaited.
In the Hunger Game franchise, Peeta played the role of baker’s son, who was with Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games. Peeta falls in love with Katniss during the Hunger Games but Katniss is not involved in Peeta unless he wins her heart with his innocence and kindness. But the love triangle of Katniss, Gale, and Peeta takes dramatic turns. Katniss chooses Peeta finally after winning the final battle and the Hunger games together and they start their family together. The story ended over there and now Josh Hutcherson wants to be part of the franchise’s prequel as well.
In a recent interview, Josh told me that he is not sure that he will be a part of the prequel or not but he is 100% willing to work in the prequel if he is offered. He said that he is not sure what the Hunger Games prequel plot will be other than that it will be based on the trilogy.
Hutcherson said that he would love to work with his fellow cast members. He mentioned that he loved to be a part of the trilogy and loves the plot, cast, and crew of the movie.
He once mentioned that he is very close to Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence who played the role of Gale and Katniss. They often have a reunion and have stayed in touch all these years. Hutcherson mentioned that during the quarantine they have stayed in touch with the Zoom meetings. As their chemistry is amazing, fans would love to see the trilogy again in the prequel.
Fans of The Hunger Games trilogy always want some news of their favorite movie. Recently a zoom meeting was introduced that recapped the first movie of The Hunger Games trilogy in one minute from the beginning to the start. It also mentioned the participants of the games and the chronological order of their deaths were made evident with a buzzing sound.

It is very good to know that even after eight years have passed and still the lead cast of the movie is so close. Fans really want the potential reunion of the lead cast in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. However, it still remains a mystery whether the trio will be a part of it or not. We hope there would be enough room to adjust Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) in the prequel.
