The Suicide Squad Trailer – Complete Breakdown

The complete trailer of “The Suicide Squad” by James Gunn has hit the internet by storm. The 3:21 seconds trailer has revealed a lot and has too much to absorb especially King Shark’s appearance. Despite the “Not so positive” reviews, the movie with B-list DC characters made a strong impression. Unlike the movie, the concept of the negative villainy heroes was widely appraised. So, James Gunn was made in charge of “The Suicide Squad” to get a better version.

The trailer was generous enough to reveal key hints, storylines, and characters. Here are all the details that you might have missed in the trailer.

The Suicide Squad trailer starts with a blue bus with yellow stripes pulling around. You get a glimpse of the squad, Idris Alba as Task Force X’s new Deadshot is introduced, a character from DC’s comic book Bloodsport (a skilled assassin and supervillain). Alba makes fun of John Cena (Peacemaker for the toilet gear). The squad is on their mission to save Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), but Quinn seems to rescue herself and is overwhelmed that the squad came to rescue her. Quinn even offers her recapturing so the squad could save her. Alba is in a bloody vest while the rest of the crew is in the same casual dressing. Well, the squad is trying to enter into what looks like an official government building or an embassy. Waller telling the squad on walkie talkie “these are dangerous people”. Well, can someone be more dangerous than the squad itself?

You get to see Rick Flag, Peacemaker, King Shark, Polka-Dot, Thinker among others. You also get to see Amanda Waller as Viola Davis. The creator of the force is seen in her command center where she is giving directions to the squad for a mission.
Another hint is towards a second Task Force X. A CCTV feed on a monitor shows another squad in transit. This force includes Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), TDK (Nathan Fillion), Savant (Michael Rooker’s), Javelin (Flula Borg), and others. The second team is seen in military transport, which shows the two squads at different locations and disconnected in (part of) the movie.
Savant is seen to show off his skills. He is seen in a prison yard where he throws a ball that hits the four walls and comes back to Savant. Savant is a digital villain as is an expert hacker.

Blackguard (Peter Davidson) is also shown behind bars. He is known for ruining the plans with his stupidity. He is shown picking toilet paper from his bright orange Crocs.

Weasel (Sean Gunn) is seen licking the glass window of his cell without knowing he is being watched. Well, he stops when he finds out. The character of Weasel is from DC character murdered in an animal costume.

Savant is injected with the bomb detonating, while Waller explains on voice-over that any defiance or insubordination will lead to an instant conviction. While if they are successful in completing the mission, they will get a 10-year waiver off their sentence.

The tagline that catches the viewer’s eyes “from the horribly beautiful mind of James Gunn.” with an amazing squad on the front.

Jai Courtney returns as Boomerang with a costume change with a beanie hat and his projectiles attached to his chest.
King Shark creeps up the audience with his Nom Nom before eating an enemy. King is also seen splitting a person in half. Well, let’s see what else does he eats? In another scene, the Suicide Squad is given a briefing where the new recruits including Polka-Dot Man, King Shark, Peacemaker, Ratcatcher, Bloodsport, etc. King Shark struggles to raise his hand and understand the concepts.

The squad is shown having fun in a nightclub, where Polka-Dot Man and Peacemaker are seen dancing on the floor.

Well, the most twisting clip was of a giant starfish smashing and squashing the city. Starro belongs to the DC comic family and has the ability to manipulate other’s minds. Starro could be the reason the squads are lined up.
The Suicide Squad trailer’s ending shows Harley Quinn enjoying the rain saying it’s like “angels are splooging all over us.” A perfect ending to the trailer.
