UK coronavirus There are more than 700 deaths reported from COVID-19 since the outbreak began.
The Department of Health and Social Care reports that a total of 4,313 people in the UK has died. The confirmed cases are 41,903 with an increase of 3,735 as compared to the previous figures. Moreover, as per the officials, 7 health care workers have also lost their lives due to the virus.
The beach at Brighton was abandoned as per the instructions by local officials to stay away from the southern English resort. The rules of social distancing remain in force for another few weeks regardless of the fact that the outbreak is spreading.
One of the experts in response to the government told the channel BBC that 85% drop in the people’s movement’s outdoors since the rules have been forced. Limiting outdoor activities has reduced the spread of the virus.
The most important thing is to get the number of cases down and if the rules are implied things will come back to the normal routine. National Medical Director of NHS England, Stephen Powis said that the death rate is still high and looks like it will stay the same for another couple of weeks.
Boris Johnson, UK Prime Minister asks the government to keep the social distancing restrictions under review and relax them as soon as things get back to normal. However, the timeline isn’t decided when the rules will be relaxed as they depend upon the compliance.
Coronavirus is the biggest threat that the UK has faced in decades and it will take them months to fight against it.
