Umbrella Academy Season 2 Finale – Unexpected Snowstorm!

The snow Harlan (Justin Paul Kelly) causes in The Umbrella Academy season 2 finale was re-written to change the script due to a freaky snowstorm. The hit Netflix show release its season 2 in the end of July, incorporating the characters to 1960s Texas.

The show revolves around the civil rights battle, and also President John. F. Kennedy’s assassination. The plot of Umbrella Academy season 2 also shows how the Hargreeves children are involved in the US President’s assassination and how they predict all the core cast returning.

Some new characters were also added, including Lila (Ritu Arya), a girl which was mysterious at the start and was friends with Diego (David Castaneda) and later turns out to be one of the Hargreeves children born on the same day. Cooper’s family is also introduced in The Umbrella Academy season 2, who after the mother Sissy (Marin Ireland), takes in Vanya (Ellen Page), by almost running her over. Harlan is her son is autistic which takes some of this mother’s powers. This causes a huge snowstorm in the finale of season 2 titled “The End of Something”.

It is now revealed in a behind the scene video that the weather was not supposed to be changed by Harlan. But the unexpected early snowstorm in Vancouver, that was the location for shooting that doubled for Dallas. This led to a change in the plan by the producers of the show. Arya said that changing the plan became a necessity due to the changing circumstances.

The show makers stated that as they have introduced Harlan’s powers to influence the weather the power he got from Vanya. Now they have established the story where Harlan will cause snowfall due to his wild state.

The change in the weather came as a big surprise. The change came in the episode out of nowhere and it also is very exciting to see that the snowstorm shown in the finale is real. The crew has shown their creativity by thinking and improving the 10th episode by adding snow in the story plot.

Many fans might not have known that the storm shown was real. People thought that as weather can be changed with modern visual effects, the storm in the episode is also fake snow. However, the fact that the snow is not only real but also unplanned adds another layer of excitement for the fans.
