WWE is laying off some of its superstars and the blame is on Coronavirus. Recently WWE announced that it is releasing a number of wrestlers/performers/WWE Superstars.
Kurt Angle who retired but was working backstage as a producer is asked to leave WWE. Moreover, the other wrestlers include Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Heath Slater, Zack Ryder, Mike Kanellis, Maria Kanellis, Drake Maverick, Sarah Logan, No Way Jose, Mike Chioda, EC3, Aiden English, Lio Rush, Primo and Epico.

WWE tweeted that, ‘We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.’
One of the wrestlers who was laid off No Way Jose, traveled to Florida to perform and posted a photo on his Instagram wearing a mask in an empty airplane.

WWE stated the budget cuts in response to the pandemic. The company stated that they would be cutting down talent and operational expenses along with executive and board member compensation. They said they have substantial financial resources that are on cash and debt with $0.5 billion to manage the upcoming challenges.
Drake Maverick also posted an emotional video on his Twitter.
WWE budget cuts are aimed to save $4 million monthly and to improve the cash flow by $140 millions.
